Not imagining it: Research into hallucinogens cautiously resumes

Many researchers have started exploring the psychological and physiological effects of psychedelics that seem to mimic the neurotransmitter serotonin and also psilocybin's effect in easing the anxiety of terminally ill cancer patients. Magic mushrooms produce psilocybin, a hallucinogen compound that might provide a window into the workings of the human brain, including spirituality.
