Not so super
Article Abstract:
The TGN1412, made by TeGenero, based in Wurzburg, Germany predicted by its inventors as superantibody and capable of activating immune cells, which sent six previously healthy volunteers to intensive care when given as the antibody is reported. Scientists suggested that instead of activating mostly regulatory T cells, TGN1412 activated all T cells, which could have led to a massive release of immune molecules, a cytokine storm that could produce shock and multiorgan failure.
