Texas businesswoman Linda Finch will attempt to finish the flight begun by Amelia Earhart in 1937. She will also fly the same type of plane flown by Earhart, the Electra 10E. She says that she wants to complete Earhart's flight to prove that women can do anything they set their minds to.

NASA will conduct is first mission on astrobiology on Nov 17, 1998. On this day, two planes will fly teams of scientists beneath the biggest meteor storm ever to study comets and their effects on the atmosphere. Their observations may lead to insights about the origins of life on Earth.
