Changes in deposition of phytoplankton constituents in a Ca(2+) polluted lake
Article Abstract:
Sediment samples from Onondaga Lake, New York are taken during a ten-year period to research the effect of Ca(2+) pollution from a soda ash manufacturing plant. Measurements of organic N, C, P, and chlorophyll are graphed over the years, showing a distinct decrease in these constituents following the closure of the soda ash facility in 1986.

Ozone removal in the sampling of parts per billion levels of terpenoid compounds: An evaluation of different scrubber materials
Article Abstract:
The potential of certain chemicals with ozone-removing properties as scrubbers in ambient air is investigated. Four terpenes and isoprene, as well as some of their oxidation products, were studied with the ozone-removing chemicals, which included KI, MnO(sub2), and Na(sub2SO(sub3).
