Manganese oxides center availability as a rate controlling factor in the oxidation of phenol and sulfide on birnessite
Article Abstract:
Phenol, hydroquinone, and sulfide are added to a birnessite solution to determine the importance of manganese oxide centers to the oxidation of those chemicals. Pyrophosphate inhibition of sulfide and phenol oxidation is graphed.
