Papers face off over claim of neutrino mass detection
Article Abstract:
The 39 collaborators of Los Alamos' Liquid Scintillator Neutrino Detector signed a research paper suggesting that neutrinos oscillate, and therefore have a trace of mass. Former colleague Hill has concurrently published a paper claiming their data was contaminated and does not prove oscillation.

Los Alamos wins one in tritium race
Article Abstract:
The Energy Dept authorized $45 million to study the feasibility of producing tritium in a proton accelerator and $5 million to study making tritium in a commercial nuclear reactor. Proposals to share the accelerator with neutron-beam research or to build a new dedicated reactor were rejected.

Added weight for neutrino mass claim
Article Abstract:
Results of the Liquid Scintillator Neutrino Detector experiment provide strong evidence for the existence of neutrino oscillation. Neutrino oscillation is a tendency to change identity, an indication the neutrinos have mass.
