Colloid movement through stable soils of low cation-exchange capacity
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the University of Adelaide, Australia identified pore size and average size of mobile colloids as major factors in controlling colloid transport. Columns of non-reactive soil mixture were used as test media.

Physical and chemical determinants of colloid transport and deposition in water-unsaturated sand and Yucca Mountain tuff material
Article Abstract:
Yucca Mountain tuff from a proposed nuclear waste repository, and quartz sand are used to measure colloid mobility dependant upon ionic strength and moisture saturation. Several graphs show the extent of colloid deposition in sand and tuff at different levels of moisture saturation and ionic strength.
