This article describes how the renovation of the Lions' Gate Suspension Bridge in Vancouver, British Columbia is being carried out replacing section by section at night without interrupting the normal traffic. Renovation encompassed trusses, deck, and sidewalks and the new sections are 0.7 meter wider with 50% more usable space.

Issues discussed concern the design and construction of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Braddock Dam replacement project under the leadership of the US Army Corps of Engineers. The new dam will be constructed using and "in-the-wet" technique, and this unique process is detailed.
