Polarized life: astronomers probe Orion to answer one of life's mysteries
Article Abstract:
A team of scientists at the Anglo-Austrian Observatory have discovered circular polarization in light from the Orion constellation which may explain homochirality in organic molecules. Chirality, which defines preferences of organisms to build either right-handed sugars or left-handed amino acids, has long baffled scientists.

Good news for the greenhouse
Article Abstract:
Researchers from NOAA and University of Colorado revealed that the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere have slow down at a remarkable rate as the level of methane gas started to decrease. The event is believed to be caused by the decline of natural gas in the air.
