Inventor Raymond V. Damadian has voiced his concerns over patents protection, regarding his invention, the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) machine. Damadian was the first to build a working prototype of the NMR scanner that absorbs and emitsradio waves at certain frequencies.

Power to the people: "net metering' makes producing energy at home more economical

Some electric utility companies allow households with solar power to deposit excess electricity into the power grid based on a policy called net metering. Net metering will allow solar-powered households to reduce their electric consumption by selling excess electricity.
