Wonderwall
Article Abstract:
Unique construction techniques were used to construct a vertical wall for the remediation of the Queen City Farms Superfund site in Seattle, WA. The site posed an engineering challenge because of its proximity to two lakes. The wall was built to prevent underground contaminants from seeping into these nearby lakes. The design and construction of the wall were conducted by Kennedy/Jenks, Federal Way and Hayward Baker Inc.
