Removal of methyl tert-butyl ether from water by pervaporation: bench- and pilot-scale evaluations
Article Abstract:
Membrane-based pervaporation is studied as an effective method for methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) removal at temperatures increasing from 40 to 80 degrees Celsius. Graphs show the pervaporation system and removal rates of MTBE, trichloroethane, and toluene.

Anaerobic degration of methyl tert-butyl ether (mtbe) and tert-butyl alcohol (tba)
Article Abstract:
This study investigates the potential for anaerobic degradation of MTBE (methyl tert-buytl ether) and TBA (tert-butyl alcohol). The research was carried out in laboratory incubations of sediments and humic substances were added to stimulate the anaerobic degradation.
