How serious is dioxin's cancer risk?
Article Abstract:
The risk of 2.3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p dioxin (TCDD) exposure to human health is still a matter of uncertainty for the United States government. Even after reviews, the Science Advisory Board of the Environmental Protection Agency could not reach an agreement on whether TCDD is a human carcinogen. The article provides additional information on the health dilemma.

Researchers find large discrepancy between dioxin deposition and emissions
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the University of California-Berkeley believe many dioxin sources have not yet been identified following the large discrepancy found between dioxin deposition and emissions. Cumulative depositon of dioxin to soil worldwide was found to be 20 times higher than estimated dioxin emissions from known sources. The findings suggest that scientists either were not able to identify all the dioxin sources or have identified all of the sources but failed to characterize them accurately.
