Helium-3 crystals captured on video
Article Abstract:
A team at Netherlands' University of Leiden has succeeded in obtaining video images of the crystal formation of Helium-3. A charge-coupled device camera, which needed temperatures of at least 60 K, was shielded from the superfluid helium isotope, which was cooled to one millikelvin.
