Sales talk
Article Abstract:
Gordon Blair is a director of Livingstone Guarantee, a company that advises clients on disposals and acquisitions. Blair, whose specialist area is engineering, says that confidentiality is the most important precondition of any transaction, particularly because the company's workforce will be nervous if it knows the company is up for sale. Livingstone works mainly with the unquoted sector of the market and it is at this end of the spectrum that sellers need the most advice. Blair says that engineering companies are generally underrated because they look unexciting to potential buyers.
