Should grouted anchors have short tendon bond length?
Article Abstract:
Advantages and disadvantages of varying tendon bond lengths are examined. It is posited that a longer unbonded length can draw away ground stresses from a wall provided the anchor is installed in rock rather than clay or sand, but shorter tendon bonds work well if overall length is fixed.

Probabilistic evaluation of earthquake-induced slope failure
Article Abstract:
A discussion is presented on the role of peak horizontal acceleration as a measure of ground motion amplitude. It is posited that location and definition of acceleration values are key in determining the accuracy of the model.
