An analysis of soil arsenic records of decision
Article Abstract:
Arsenic cleanup projects listed on the United States Environmental Protection Agency National Priority List (1986) are studied for variations in cleanup goals. Sixty-nine Records of Decision are graphed according to risk level and remedial goal.

Redox transformations of arsenic and iron in water treatment sludge during aging and TCLP extraction
Article Abstract:
Backwash sludge samples from a California surface water treatment plant are aged and measured for the leachability of arsenic and Iron. Graphs show the release of arsenic and iron during aging, and the concentrations of arsenic as a function of pH level.

Soluble arsenic and selenium species in fly ash/organic waste-amended soils using ion chromatography-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry
Article Abstract:
Land application of fly ash as a viable disposal alternative may be possible because mixing coal fly ash with organic waste increases macronutrient content. Trace amounts of such elements as arsenic and selenium warrants further investigation of these mixed waste products, however. Over a 10-day period, speciation of As and Se in soil solutions of fly ash- poultry litter- and sewage sludge-amended soils was deternined using ion chromatography coupled to inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (IC-ICP-MS).
