Spatial impact of a slender beam
Article Abstract:
The dynamics of the spatial impact of a slender beam is analyzed and the equations of motion are calculated using Kane's impact method. The assumptions used for no slipping and slipping involved the tangential and normal components of the velocity of separation and the normal and tangential impulse and the assumptions permitted to predict the direction of post-impact velocity of the beam and the direction of the force of impact.

Surface enhancement of Al2O3 fiber with nanosized Al2O3 particles using a dry mechanical coating process
Article Abstract:
The study is concerned with the coating of the Al2O3 nanosized particles on Al2O3 fiber substrates using a dry mechanical coating technique employing high shear and compression forces. The study concluded that the fabricated composite could be used in applications where high surface area is required and durability is necessary to withstand mechanical vibration.
