Statistical modeling of creep rupture data
Article Abstract:
The analysis of creep rupture data was determined by a flexible, statiscal modeling framework. The framework is an improvement over traditional methods of deriving confidence limits and creep rupture strength values. In addition, a family of models that can be used in representing the trend relationship between stress at any temperature and failure was reviewed. The reliability of extrapolations and the random scatter of failure times about the trend line were also examined. The results showed that allowance for the cluster structure of the data would lead to improvement of the model.
