Cancer-prevention strategies include avoiding smoking; drinking alcoholic beverages in moderation; eating a diet low in saturated fat, meat, salt and sugar; and exercising regularly. Over 50% of the deaths from cancer in the US and Europe appear to be preventable.

The reproductive behavior of the stickleback

The stickleback engages in unusual behavior for a fish when it reproduces. Females may eat other females' eggs and select males on the basis of such factors as quality of the nest and color, while males may fertilize the eggs in the nests of other males.
