TOHU BOHU: considerations on the nature of noise, in 78 fragments
Article Abstract:
The term Tohu va-bohu which in the Torah is translated as 'empty and shapeless' but in the Hebrew tohu means 'ruin' and bohu 'desolation'. The use of sound and noise in various modes of art are explained. Snippets of different kinds of sounds are presented.
