Travelers stream through sprawling airport terminal
Article Abstract:
The Kansai International Airport in Japan, which includes state of the art seismic control features, is the largest airport terminal in the world. The two km long terminal, which was designed and constructed by the Renzo Piano Workshop, has the capacity to handle 160,000 takeoffs and landings, and accommodate 25 million passengers in a year.

Pulverizing a perennial problem at Akron airport
Article Abstract:
Woolpert, Dayton, Ohio is working on redesigning the Akron-Fulton International Airport, which needed major corrections in its runway to eliminate heaving and sloping. Cracks have been sealed and pavements have been corrected of heaving in the first phase of operations, following which runway levels are now being made of a single level.
