The butterfly effect

Environmentalists are hoping that politicians would takes steps after it has been discovered that pollen from genetically-engineered corn produces a natural pesticide that can kill monarch butterfly caterpillars. It remains to be seen if the issue would galvanize American public opinion and lead to regulatory action.
