The concept of effectiveness in R&D project selection
Article Abstract:
The concept of effectiveness in the selection of research and development project is presented and defined in the study as the level of overlapping among three items such as the item top management heads regard significantly impacting success and failure of the project, the items the proponents of a research and development project deem important and the items the assessors of the proposal consider. The concept has also proven that a meaningful analysis on the difference on the efficiency between public and private research institutes is possible as reflected on its study of the Korean data.

Sectorial influence on R&D policies of Spanish firms
Article Abstract:
A small group of Spanish industrial firms undertake extensive research compared with other groups, which apart from belonging to a sector which bring about technological opportunities, maintain a significant pattern among the companies which likewise belong to their sector, says a study on sectoral influence on research policies of Spanish firms. A cluster analysis has also been carried out in the study to enable the researchers to categorize Spanish industrial firms based on their research endeavor.
