The effects of tooling imperfections on the initiation of wrinkling in finite element modeling of a deep drawing process
Article Abstract:
A simulated experiment of finite element based models is used to analyze the result of initial tooling imperfections on the initiation of wrinkling in deep drawing of thick sheet or plate. A qualitative comparison of the resultant observations with experimental forming operations confirms that the wrinkling behavior of the blank in deep drawing process is strongly influenced.

Wrinkling limit in tube bending
Article Abstract:
A doubly-curved sheet model is generated, which provides the minimum bending radius that eliminates wrinkling in the thin-walled tube bending process. The results of this experiment give a predictive tool for designing/optimizing the tooling parameters in the automobile and aerospace industries.

A hybrid approach for quantifying the winding process and material effects on sheet coil deformation
Article Abstract:
Extreme coil deformation can impair smooth handling of a wound or rolled coil and cause problems in mass production. A similar material model based on the internal stress allocation derived from a bi-dimensional winding-analysis model is presented.
