The first nanochips
Article Abstract:
Millions of immensely sophisticated microchips, known as nanochips, are being manufactured and yet scientists and engineers responsible for their development receive little recognition in spite of the fact that this has revolutionized technology. Exotic forms of nanotechnology are expected to further revolutionize electronics by midcentury, and technical advances are expected to grow beyond anyone's imagination.

Atoms chips
Article Abstract:
Magnetic fields on a microchip can hold a cloud of atoms suspended in a vacuum at a temperature just above absolute zero to produce tiny, coherent clouds of atoms called Bose-Einstein condensates. These chips can be used in ultra precise sensors for aircraft and in quantum computing thereby overcoming many challenges. Some of these applications of Bose-Einstein chips are discussed.

The promise of plasmonics
Article Abstract:
Plasmonics is a rapidly evolving technology that combines electromagnetic waves into miniscule structures. This new technology might lead to discovery of new superfast computer chips, ultrasensitive molecular detectors, and fighting cancer.
