The influence of government science and technology policies on new product development in the USA, UK, South Korea and Taiwan
Article Abstract:
South Korea and Taiwan's new product innovation activities are greatly influenced by their respective government's policies involving science and technology. Implementation of policies such as tax credits, direct and indirect grants, low interest loans and intellectual property regulations have resulted to enhancement of new product innovation activities in both countries. On the other hand, slight evidence was noted with regards to the influence of government science and technology policies on US and United Kingdom's new product development activities.

Argentina's national innovation system
Article Abstract:
Several inefficiencies were noted in the national innovation system of Argentina. First, technology policies contained in the national innovation system failed to differentiate the concept of 'science' from the concept of 'technology'. Such failure resulted to implementation of programs that are overlapping and fragmented. Second, the system's financial resources are allocated mostly on basic and applied research.
