The medial temporal lobe
Article Abstract:
The findings from humans, monkeys and rodents that illuminate the functions of anatomically related structures of the medial temporal lobe are reviewed. The fact that there is a division of labor within the medial temporal lobe is evident from the data of neurophysiology, neuroimaging and neuroanatomy.

Structure and function of visual area MT
Article Abstract:
The structure and function of the middle temporal visual area (MT or V5) is discussed. MT is useful for the study of neural circuits that underlie computations of motion and depth and for examining the relationship between neural activity and perception.

The amygdala modulates the consolidation of memories of emotionally arousing experiences
Article Abstract:
A research investigating the role of the amygdala in modulating the consolidation of long-term memories is presented. The findings of human brain imaging studies suggest that activation of the amygdala influences the consolidation of long term memory.
