Scientists have been alarmed at the rapid disappearance of amphibian populations in many areas around the world. Research shows that this phenomenon is due to pollution, the destruction of amphibian habitats and the harmful effect of unabsorbed ultraviolet rays on their eggs.

Iran's nuclear puzzle

Iran's insistence on basing its electrification program on nuclear power only makes sense from a military standpoint. Iran's effort to refurbish its Bushehr nuclear power plant could be better spent on building natural gas plants and pipeline infrastructure.

The puzzle of conscious experience

Neuroscience alone cannot explain the mystery behind conscious experience. A complete theory consisting of physical systems and psycho-physical laws is the only approach that can explain the reasoning for consciousness.
