The trouble with turtles
Article Abstract:
Scientists are concerned that the survival of turtles along the Pacific coast of Mexico's Baja peninsula does not just rely on the protection of turtle eggs and hatchlings. The adults also require better defending from poachers,but there are cultural and political obstacles to stopping turtle harvesting.

Goats introduced onto Guadalupe Island 150 years ago have transformed the lush forest into barren land. Plans to remove the goats from the island and replant the vegetation with plants taken from neighbouring islets are discussed.
