Towards a theoretical and methodological corporate technology management framework: the strategic perspective
Article Abstract:
Corporate technology management emerged in the 1970s and developed tremendously in the early 1980s. It pertains to careful planning of the relationships between a company's technologies, markets and R&D activities. Before the label technology management was coined, it was called by different names such as Strategic Management, Engineering Management, Innovation Management and R&D Management. Since then, it has grown to such an extent that it can be categorized as a separate subfield of corporate management.
