When are bone marrow transplants considered?
Article Abstract:
Cancer patients should generally consider having a bone marrow transplant, or a stem cell transplant, only if they have a life-threatening condition because the treatment produces serious side effects. One complication is the development of graft versus host disease.

Does screening for prostate cancer make sense?
Article Abstract:
Screening for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in males has led to the diagnosis of more cases of prostate cancer, but it has not significantly reduced the death rate from the disease. However, only about 3% of men over age 50 with prostate cancer die from it.
