Water resources: Albuquerque begins work on water diversion and treatment project
Article Abstract:
The city of Albuquerque has succeeded in reducing the amount of water used by its residents and hence the city has pursued plans to augment its groundwater supply by diverting and treating surface water. Thus, the city leaders have adopted a water management strategy designed to wean Albuquerque away from its dependence on groundwater and implemented programs to conserve and reuse water.
