Article Abstract:
This article discusses the pipeline project managment by the city of San Diego using a design/build approach and partnering with those who are also involved in the project. Laying of two large diameter pipelines, each separately carrying portable water and reclaimed water, is accomplished in a short time than usual, saving several months on the project.

Senate, House bills propose increase in funds for water supply research
Article Abstract:
Congress introduced two new bills that would authorize more than $1 billion in federal spending on research aimed at improving the quality and quantity of water. These efforts would enhance water supplies, reduce the amount of water currently used in certain industrial processes, and improve the efficiency of various methods for treating water.
