Brunel's first iron bridge saved from demolition
Article Abstract:
Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the 19th century engineer built the first ever iron bridge in engineering history. Hochtief Construction Ltd was to demolish this bridge but Steven Brindle, an inspector of ancient monuments for English heritage, rescued it from destruction.
