Article Abstract:
Fossil excavations from China seem to support evidence that present-day birds followed a convergent evolutionary path, rather than descending from dinosaurs. Similarities in bone formations indicate that birds followed a parallel development line functionally, but with enough difference to suggest an altogether different ancestry.

Medical experts have long believed that sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) results from apnea induced by physiological abnormalities. However, a recent murder case is prompting physicians to investigate the possibility that child abuse may be responsible for a large percentage of SIDS cases.
