Will the Job Market Ever Get Better?
Article Abstract:
The academic job market in the U.S. is very tight for postdoctoral science researchers. For those that wish to teach and do research at a major university, the competition is brutal. Even smaller colleges are flooded with applications for such positions. There are not currently signs that more job opportunities will be created.

A daring science career: start your own company
Article Abstract:
Scientists who start their own companies to market their ideas face a great deal of pressure and run a high risk of failure, but are compensated with a feeling of independence and potential economic rewards. The science needs a well-designed plan to secure financing, and must find experience helpers.
