pH dependent photoformation of hydroxyl radical and absorbance of aqueous-phase N(III) (HNO2 and NO2-)
Article Abstract:
Researchers from Japan studied the ultraviolet absorption spectra of aqueous-phase N(III) and NO2- to observe the typical pH ranges in atmospheric waters. Using a formula, they calculated that the photochemical reactions form hydroxyl radical in acidic nitrous acid and a dew water byproduct.

Atmospheric dispersal of (superscript129)iodine from nuclear fuel reprocessing facilities
Article Abstract:
Researchers from Texas studied how iodine isotope emissions from nuclear fuel facilities in England and France get transported globally through atmospheric currents. Epiphytes from the continental United States were tested for the presence of iodine ions.
