Article Abstract:
Psychometric properties of four emotional intelligence measures, Emotional Competence Inventory, Emotional Quotient Inventory, Multifactor Emotional Intelligence Scale, and Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test, are examined. Measures are reported to have sufficient internal reliability, while content validity is lacking. Suggestions for future research on these areas are provided.
