Be fit and be strong: mastering self-regulation through regulatory fit
Article Abstract:
Regulatory fit improves self-regulatory performance, as opposed to regulatory nonfit which impairs it. Regulatory fit is experienced by people when their strategies of goal pursuit fit with their regulatory foci. Intensified motivation seems to be underlying the regulatory fit effect.
