Why in planning "The Myth of the Framework" is anything but that
Article Abstract:
The utility of Karl Popper's situational analysis and of his ideas about the myth of framework which defines truth in spatial planning are assessed. The study examines existing research on planning that grew out of the rationality principle and the consequences of Popper's beliefs on how planning must be carried out. Results of the investigation show that Popper's ideas hold that planning cannot explain reality in terms of universal laws. Planning is about the search for the right course of action but his concern about relativism and justification are misplaced.

Popper's critique of scientific socialism, or Carnap and his co-workers
Article Abstract:
Karl Popper's critique of Marxism stands out as his legacy to academic philosophy. In spite of his contribution, Popper is one of the least understood thinkers of his time. As a proponent of an open society, he criticized Marx's stand on accumulating economic power in the state. Popper emphasized that economic systems should be valued not as ends to themselves but to attain freedom. Hence, his view was that there was no cure-all solutions in politics.
