Explaining normativity
Article Abstract:
A study describing three settings, which explain the term normativity, is illustrated. The relation between normative and nonnormative runs through the history of the philosophy of social science, especially in connection with the problem of the relation between philosophy of social science and related areas of philosophy, like the philosophies of law and language.

Social practices and normativity
Article Abstract:
Stephen Turner's "The Social Theory of Practices" criticizes the very idea of social practices as rule-governed or regularity-exhibiting performances. He has rightly pointed out some fundamental conceptual failures in the uses of terms in philosophy and humanities, like tradition, tacit knowledge, paradigm, ideology, framework and presupposition.
