Gender differences in supervisory authority: Variation among advanced industrialized democracies
Article Abstract:
Studies have examined gender differences in authority throughout several advanced industrialized nations. The explanation for crossnational differences in the impact of job-incumbents' gender on retaining a job with responsibility for supervision is examined. Individual-level and country-level survey data is used, and an explicitly multilevel approach is taken.
