Article Abstract:
The instrumental variables models and data from the National Survey of America's Families were used to explore associations between rental housing assistance and employment among low-income, single-mother households in the US. The results suggest that housing assistance has indirect effects on employment which operate through the stability of housing residency and unit- and tenant-based assistance are differentially associated with work hours among employed, low-income single mothers.
