Ineligible parents, eligible children: Food Stamps receipt, allotments, and food insecurity among children of immigrants
Article Abstract:
The effects of the Personal Responsibility, Work, and Reconciliation Act (PRWORA), which made non-citizens ineligible for federally funded food assistance, on household level Food Stamp recipiency, Food Stamp allotments and food security among the children of non-citizens are examined. The results show that the children of non-citizens experienced more persistent and higher levels of food securities following PRWORA's enactment than the children of citizens.

Pre-school enrollment: An analysis by immigrant generation
Article Abstract:
Pre-school enrollment of child immigrants, those who immigrated as children and the United States born children of immigrants are investigated, using 1990 U.S. Census data. Pre-school enrollment is found to vary systematically with parental characteristics, immigrant generation, and number of siblings and country of origin.

Cross-national analysis of a model of reproductive health in developing countries
Article Abstract:
A model of reproductive health at the cross-national level is proposed and examined. The results show that as the level of democracy increases resulting in improvements in gender equality, the extent of personal rights increase, and the advance in personal rights increase the level of reproductive health.
