The various approaches to vitalism are addressed especially in the context of the idea of vitalism, its origination, and its relation to the current scenario and the attempts that are being made to introduce information, knowledge or mind into the social and natural environment. The historical function of vital thought is also applied to the current developments in the field of science and technology.

Metamorphoses: The myth of evolutionary possibility

The belief in evolution, which has removed the borders between art and science especially the restrictions that exist between the artificial life and transgenic engineering, is challenged. Consistency is observed between the concept of metamorphoses and the theory of evolution.

On the vitality of vitalism

The term vitalism as seen from the point of view of Georges Canguilhem and the extent to which it can be considered as obsolete is studied. The possibility of a link between the concept of complexity and the vitality of vitalism is observed.
