New leaders look forward
Article Abstract:
Commander-in-chief John Furgess provided next year's Veterans of Foreign Wars Department commanders a keen direction as he urged them to look to the future and actively recruit young veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan during a leadership meeting held February 8-11, 2004, in Las Vegas. He initiated a contest where each Department was asked to bring a piece of memorabilia representative of its state and swap it with others.
