Just between you and me: children's letters to Presidents
Article Abstract:
Letters from children, who are too young to vote, written to the President for extending congratulation, offering praise, posing questions, making request, sharing concerns, priding suggestions, and leveling criticism are illustrated. These letters are preserved among NARA's holdings, like the other records of the presidency, mostly in presidential libraries.

Article Abstract:
The presidential libraries which serve as rich repositories for the records of the nations highest office provide tangible evidence of the lives, times, and achievements of the country's chief executives. To mention a few, the Johnson Museum has artwork of a set of original drawings by Dr. Seuss, America's best-loved author of children's books.

Some of the items in the Public Vaults are original records, and others are reproductions or dramatic readings of the actual records kept by National Archives. These records have the power to let the people see and experience what it was like to be present at the past.
