Organizational development and change management: don't throw the baby out with the bath water
Article Abstract:
This article examines the advantages and disadvantages of discontinuing the profession of organizational development and replacing it with a new profession called change management. Organizational development maintains a humanistic perspective of business change while change management professionals would incorporate more strategic, contingency-based changes that would result in more dramatic improvements.

Consistent and inconsistent impacts of a teacher-led empowerment initiative in a federation of schools
Article Abstract:
An evaluation is presented on organizational change and a concurrent program led by instructors to encourage participation in the process. Findings indicate that while perceived effectiveness resulted from behavioral changes linked to the empowerment program, data were inconclusive in supporting a consistency framework.
