Article Abstract:
The National Archives Experience would be a tool that teaches about American history and also an instrument that influences citizens as they direct the nation's future with the help and support of the foundation for the National Archives and generosity of private donors. The National Archives Experience is a journey through time that celebrates the American spirit of the past, present and future.

NARA's new research center features ease, speed, efficiency
Article Abstract:
A number of research services formerly housed on upper floors of National Archives Building are now included in a new ground floor National Archives Building Research Center for making it easier, speeder and more efficient for the researchers and families. Many research rooms are set up related to genealogy consultation, microfilms research, and military service along with other new amenities.

People think that federal records are monumental documents that shaped the nation, however, many treasures of the National Archives are personal. These records touch on the lives of ordinary citizens, those people trying to make a new home, community and new life and people working and fighting for their country and holding government accountable for its actions.
